About
John began working with IEM as a consultant in 2020 and in July 2022 became the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He continues to work with IEM, and other financial services firms, in helping them create and implement their strategic plans. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, both as an advisor and executive, John brings a unique perspective to the table. With a history of coaching and consulting financial advisors, as well as leadership teams, John helps make the complex simple.
Experience and Education
John earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and is a graduate of The American College of Financial Services. He’s also a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and currently holds his Series 4, 6, 7, 24, 26, 63 and 65 FINRA registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®.
Personal
An avid golfer, John enjoys nothing more than traveling and playing courses across the state and country. He lives with his wife of 38 years, Beth, and their dog, Laney, in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
