About
Cammy Smith was appointed CEO of IEM in 2021. Working closely with Ted over the past 15 years, Cammy learned the intricacies of the business and what it takes for success. Cammy is dedicated to carrying on IEM’s values and putting client experience above all.
Leading up to her role as CEO, Cammy’s journey started as a financial advisor at IEM during the midst of the credit crisis. After multiple years, Cammy was ready to expand her horizons, professionally and culturally, so she made the move to Madrid, Spain, for an International MBA at IE Business School. During her time in Madrid, she also gained experience in social venture capital funds, as a Venture Capital Associate at Creas.
Upon her return from Madrid, Cammy was ready to apply her learnings as Chief Strategy Officer, where she drove the vision and operational plan to build the business for the legacy of our clients.
Adding to her professional repertoire, Cammy started Revive Consulting+*, a B2B consultancy to help financial advisors to overcome the challenges of growth, independence, and succession.

In January 2024, Cammy was chosen to lead Commonwealth Financial Network’s® Women’s Advisor Council. Its mission recognizes the strength of our community of women advisors. They’re committed to creating a space where all feel supported, valued, and empowered and providing the tools to elevate women advisors' success.
Experience and Education
Cammy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business and an International MBA from IE Business School, where she was awarded the Dean’s List Merit for finishing in the Top 5% of her class.
Personal
Outside the office, Cammy and the team are dedicated to supporting the local community through a number of philanthropic programs. She is also a board member of the Financial Planning Association of Miami and IE Alumni Club. When Cammy isn’t at work, she enjoys yoga, travel, and spending time with her husband, Alex, and daughter, Madden.
